A4340594 Mickey is a handsome, exuberant two year old brown and tan male Papillon/Longhaired Chihuahua mix who came to the Baldwin Park shelter as an owner surrender on September 15th because his previous owner claimed he wasn’t friendly and bit him. We handled him extensively and were unable to elicit so much as a grumble. Weighing five pounds, this even-tempered boy walks well on leash and appears to have had some training. Mickey is very social and would be happiest as part of a multi-dog household. Mickey will be a great indoor pet for anyone in any living situation. A4340229 Mikey is a timid but affectionate one year old tan male Shorthaired Chihuahua mix puppy who came to the Baldwin Park shelter with his sister, Lady [A4340227], as an owner surrender on September 15th because his previous owner said it cost too much to keep a dog. Weighing eleven pounds, Mikey walks well on leash and is happy to be carried. Selective about other dogs, we think it is because Mikey is confused from being in the shelter environment. We would love to see Mikey and Lady adopted together, although it isn’t a requirement. Mikey will be a delightful indoor pet for an individual or family living in an apartment or condo. To watch a video of Mikey and Lady please click here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1IgJ7k8cs4

Weighing just five pounds, Tita walks nicely on leash and is probably housebroken; she is non-reactive to other dogs, which is generally a rare quality in small breeds. She will curl up in your lap for as long as you will let her. Tita will be a perfect indoor pet for an adult household in an apartment or condo, and will be an ideal companion for a senior. Weighing seven and a half pounds, we don’t know how he is on leash because he was too shy to walk through the shelter environment; he is waiting for a new owner who can introduce him to a whole new world of smells, sounds, and all around dogness. We do know that he gets along with other dogs, he loves to be held, he is a born lapdog, he likes people, and he is absolutely adorable. A4337037 Goosey is a delightful one year old white male Toy Poodle mix puppy who came to the Baldwin Park shelter as an owner surrender on September 8th because his previous owner said he escaped and jumped the fence too much, which makes us wonder how high his fence really was for tiny little Goosey to be able to hurdle! Weighing only ten and a half pounds, this sweet boy needs leash training – his preferred mode of transportation is to be carried. A born lapdog, Goosey is good with other dogs, calm and affectionate with everyone he meets. We think he has a secret desire to be a circus dog – we encourage his new owner to teach him tricks and show him off!
