A4334128 Chester is a loving four year old male brown and tan German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix who came to the Baldwin Park shelter as a stray from Pasadena on Sept 2nd. Weighing sixty-nine pounds, Chester still believes he is a puppy and will need some training, but he is treat motivated and should be an easy student. He gets along well with other dogs and has a great energy level; he will make an excellent running or hiking buddy but he can also chill and be a total love bug. Chester will be a wonderful new family member for an active person or family living in a private home, preferably with a gated yard.

Louisa will be the ideal indoor pet for someone living in an apartment or condo, and would be a wonderful companion for a senior. A4197668 Chata is a gorgeous one year old brown and black spayed female Longhaired Chihuahua mix puppy who was left at the Baldwin Park shelter as an owner surrender on September 12th because it was “too much responsibility to have a dog”. Weighing all of four pounds, Chata walks okay on leash but could use more training. Friendly with people and other dogs, this puppy is a born lapdog; when she isn’t rolling on her back looking for a belly rub (her favorite thing!) she is climbing into your lap to snuggle. An absolute gem of a dog, Chata will be an amazing indoor pet for an individual or family living in an apartment or condo, and would be a great companion for a senior.

A4197667 Pinto is a sweet-tempered one year old black and white male Longhaired Chihuahua mix puppy who came to the Baldwin Park shelter as an owner surrender on September 12th because his previous owner said it was too much responsibility to own a dog. Weighing twelve pounds, we don’t know if he walks well on leash because the moment we took him out of the kennel and put him down he rolled over and showed us his belly! Initially tentative, but quick to warm up, Pinto is a low-to-medium energy puppy who is good with other dogs. He loves laps and looks like a miniature spaniel. Pinto will be a perfect indoor pet for anyone in any living situation whatsoever.
